Bareilly Ki Barfi remake option for Naga Chaitanya?

Akkineni Naga Chaitanya who has delivered back to back commercially flop movies (Shailaja Reddy Alludu and Savyasachi) in 2018 , is currently sharing the screen space with Samantha Akkineni in upcoming romantic and family entertainer Majili, which is progressing at brisk pace in the direction of Shiva Nirvana. If ongoing buzz in media and film industry is to be believed, Naga Chaitanya, the elder son of King Nagarjuna will be seen playing the lead role in Telugu remake of Bollywood hit movie Bareilly ki Barfi .

Bareilly Ki Barfi is a romantic comedy film, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari in which Kriti Sanon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Rajkummar Rao played the lead role. The film was released in 2018 and turned out to be both a critical and a commercial success at the box office. Bareilly Ki Barfi  is based on the French novel The Ingredients of Love, written by Nicolas Barreau.

Ever since, People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation acquired the remake rights of the Bollywood movie Bareilly Ki Barfi , they have been on the lookout for a young actor to star in the Telugu version. While the filmmakers have approached a few actors, but now they are planning to approach Akkineni Naga Chaitanya.

Earlier Naga Chaitanya has acted in Premam the remake of  Malayalam film of the same title. Now once again, the young actor is keen to remake another film. This time, Nagarjuna’s son is showing his interest to star in the Telugu remake of Bollywood’s Bareilly ki Barfi.

Naga Chaitanya was last seen in Chandoo Mondeti’s Savyasachi in which he shared the screen space with Niddhi Agerwal. With this action entertainer, Kollywood actor R Madhavan made his comeback in Telugu film Industry after a long gap and played the role of antagonist. But the film was turned out commercially flop.

 The sources say that Naga Chaitanya likes Bollywood movies and expressed his desire to act in remake of Bollywood movie Bareilly Ki Barfi .

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is enacting Basavatarakam, legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s wife in his biopic undertaken prestigiously by his son Balakrishna who besides reprising his late father is co-producing while Krish is directing it.

Today on the eve of Vidya Balan’s birthday, the makers unveiled a new poster to wish her. A note on the poster reads: “Vendi THera Tarakamma Gariki Puttina Roju Shubhakankshalu. Diviloni Taraka Ramula Tarapuna Bhuvipaini Telugu Varandari Tharapuna…”

Balakrishna wanted someone who can pull off the role efficiently, so he roped in Vidya Balan who is versatile actor known for doing variety of roles and films. The actress too feels it as a honor to play such significant role in the film in which many popular actors played cameos.

NTR Kathanayakudu will release on January 9th with premiere in USA on 8th.

KGF First, Husharu Second

Telugu audience have been wait for a moderate film for a long time. With all the straight films turning out to be flops, KGF Chapter 1 starring Yash and directed by Prashanth Neel is having dream run at box office. Christmas, Weekend and New Year holidays are favoring the film which has already entered profit zone in all the zones.

Trade reports indicate that, KGF domination is continuing in all the centers in Telugu states, especially in Hyderabad. In RTX X Roads, among all the films at theaters, KGF grossed highest on Sunday with an impressive collection of Rs 27,63,448.

Hushari is the second highest grosser with a Rs 23,53,778. The film got positive reviews, but poor promotions did damage. Had the makers promoted opted for at least reasonable promotions, the film would have become a super hit for its budget.

Antariksham and Padi Padi Leche Manasu were already declared as duds. The Sankalp Reddy and Hanu Raghavapudi directorial ventures collected Rs 19,63,324 and 18,99,677 respectively from their main theaters in RTC X Roads. Recent releases Bluff Master and Idam Jagath had poor shows with a gross of Rs 1,68,940 and Rs1,00,734 respectively.

NTR Kathanayakudu Prebiz, Highest For NBK

Nandamuri Balakrishna’s dream project NTR biopic directed by Krish will be releasing as two parts- NTR Kathanayakudu on January 9th and NTR Mahanayakudu on February 7th. Prabhas not leaving Anushka at Rajamouli son wedding

Prabhas and Anushka Shetty spotted together at the wedding of Baahubali film maker SS Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya and Pooja Prasad. The pic of Prabhas with Anushka Shetty at the wedding venue of Karthikeya are going viral on social media sites.

Both Prabhas and Anushka Shetty arrived at the venue separately but later both were spotted together.

Rana Daggubati Police Constable, Sai Pallavi Naxalite

We have already reported that Baaubali and Ghazi fame Rana Daggubati has teamed up with Fidaa and MCA fame Sai Pallavi for an upcoming project, which will be helmed by Venu Udugula. Sai Pallavi, who is popular for her natural performance, will be seen playing naxalite. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Rana Daggubati will be seen playing the role of police constable in this upcoming film. India Retain Border-Gavaskar Trophy

India needed just two wickets on last day to win third test match of ongoing Border-Gavaskar trophy to retain it. Pat Cummins along with his tail-end partner Nathan Lyon showed some resistance and fighting spirit to postpone India’s victory to fifth day. India took 27 balls to win the match by 137 runs.

While it was Indian star bowler Jasprit Bumrah who claimed first wicket on the day, Ishant Sharma took last wicket. "The credit has to go to our bowlers, especially Jasprit, they have been outstanding. The way Jasprit bowled in Perth it was almost criminal not to get wickets, but the management told him they would come in bunches," Kohli said after the game.

Mister dependable Chateswar Pujara is awarded Man of the match for his century in the first innings to put good total on board. But, India found a champion opener in form of Mayank Agarwal who played brilliantly in both the innings. His technique, defense, footwork and stroke play was lauded.

Sri Vishnu to romance Two Nivetha

Sri Vishnu will be seen in an upcoming movie Brochevarevarura. According to the latest update, the makers have brought two Nivetha – Nivetha Thomas and Nivetha Pethuraj on the board to play the female leads. Apart from the lead pair, the film has other stars like Satya dev, Rahul Ramakrishna, Priyadarshi in pivotal roles in the movie.

Sri Vishnu, Nivetha Thomas and Nivetha Pethuraj starrer Brochevarevarura will be helmed by Vivek Athreya who made his debut with Mental Madhilo. This is the second film of Sri Vishnu with Vivek Athreya. Earlier they have worked together for Mental Madhilo.

The shooting of the film Brochevarevarura has been already started. Vijay Kumar Manyam is producing ‘Brochevarevarura’ under the banner of Manyam Productions and it has the music by Vivek Sagar. Sai Sriram is cranking the camera.

 Sri Vishnu debuted as a film actor with a few small roles in Baanam and Solo. His breakthrough was in 2013 for his role as ‘Royal Raju’ in Prema Ishq Kaadhal, followed by Second Hand in the same year, and Appatlo Okadundevadu in 2016.In 2018, He was Nominted for SIIMA Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the film Vunnadhi okkate Zindagi, directed by Kishore Tirumala in which Ram Pothineni, Anupama Parameswaran, and Lavanya Tripathi also played the lead role.

 This year Sri Vishnu has delivered two movies- Needi Naadi Oke Katha and Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayalu. Needi Naadi Oke Katha is directed by Udugula Venu  and is produced by Krishna Vijay, Atluri Narayana Rao and Prashanti under Aran media works. Satna Titus played the female lead. Sri Vishnu was last seen in multistarrer Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayalu, which received negative response by the movie lovers and critics on its opening day.  Directed by Indrasena R, and produced by Appa Rao under the Baba Creations banner, the film starring Sree Vishnu, Nara Rohit, Sudheer Babu, Shriya Saran, and Shashank in the lead roles.

Number of stars from Tollywood have already arrived in Pink City to attend the wedding of Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya and Pooja Prasad. But where are Superstar Mahesh Babu and Stylish Star Allu Arjun? These two top stars did not spotted in Jaipur City. Balakrishna rejection: Vinayak changes plans & gets Venkatesh nod

If ongoing buzz in media and film industry is to be believed, VV Vinayak is planning to team up with Venkatesh Daggubati for an upcoming project.  Earlier it was heard that VV Vinayak wanted to collaborate with Nandamuri Balakrishna. But Jai Simha and Paisa Vasool star has rejected the offer and the sources say that the director changed his plans and narrated the same rejected story to Venkatesh Daggubati and the actor has given nod to him.

Earlier Victory Venkatesh and VV Vinayak have worked together for a movie Lakshmi, which was released in 2006. Lady Superstar Nayantara and Charmy Kaur played the female lead. If Venkatesh signs VV Vinayak project, this will be their second collaborated after hit movie Lakshmi.

VV Vinayak made his film debut with the 2002 melodrama film Aadi starring young tiger Jr NTR upon release the film received positive reviews, and became a box office hit. His popular movies are Dil, Tagore, Bunny, Khaidi No 150, Adhurs, Badrinath and Naayak. VV Vinayak’s previous offering

Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi insulted Koratala Siva

Ram Charan is currently busy in his upcoming movie Vinaya Vidheya Rama and recently the makers organize the pre release event of the film. Megastar Chiranjeevi and KTR attended the event as guest but everyone was shocked as Koratala Siva was not spotted there. Sources say that though Koratala Siva was in the city but did not get the invitation to attend the pre-release event of Vinaya Vidheya Rama.

Earlier it was also heard that Koratala Siva and Megastar Chiranjeevi are teaming up for a project, which will be bankrolled jointly by Ram Charan under his banner Konidela Production Company in association with Matinee Entertainment.  But at the pre release event of Ram Charan’s film, Megastar Chiranjeevi made announcement about his project with Trivikram Srinivas, which will be bankrolled by DVV Danayya. The same producer is also bankrolling Ram Charan film Vinaya Vidheya Rama and the producer is very close to Koratala Siva. But he was not invited. Both Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan have insulted the talented director Koratala Siva in this manner.

 On the other-side, Koratala Siva recently attended the pre-release event of NTR biopic in which Nandamuri Balakrisha is playing the lead role. He was also spotted at the wedding reception of noted producer and distributor Dil Raju’s nephew Harshith Reddy.

Till date Koratala Siva has directed four movies- Mirchi, Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage and Bharat Ane Nenu, all the movies were blockbuster at the box office. He has received three Filmfare Awards South, six IIFA Awards, and six SIIMA Awards.  The sources say that Koratala Siva is working on a script with megastar Chiranjeevi in mind. First 100 Cr Grossers In All Industries

Rocking Star Yash and Srinidhi Shetty starrer KGF Chapter 1 recently crossed 100 crore gross mark to become the first Sandalwood movie to achieve the feat. No other Kannada film had come close to the mark. The film made impossible possible having dream run in its first week, not just in Karnataka or other southern states, it was remarkable in northern states as well.

Now, with KGR grossing 100 Cr, all the southern industries have attained the great feat. However, Bollywood accomplished 100 cr mark in 90’s itself.

Hum Aapke Hain Koun was the first Indian film to gross over 100 Cr, and when adjusted for inflation, is the highest grossing Hindi film of the 1990s and also still one of the highest-earning Bollywood films ever.

In Tollywood, mega power star Ram Charan’s Magadheera was the first film to enter 100 cr club. The SS Rajamouli directed film remained highest Telugu grosser for ages, until Power Star Pawan Kalyan’s Attarintiki Daredi broke the record. Magadheera indeed remains to be one of the classics of Telugu cinema.

Super Star Rajinikanth and Shankar’s sensational film Sivaji was the first film to reach 100 cr gross mark in Kollywood. The film was a super hit in all southern languages. It was the first collaboration between Rajini and Shankar who later worked together for Robot and 2.0.

Maharshi : Mahesh Babu decides to Sacrifice

Mahesh Babu is currently working with Vamsi Paidipally for his upcoming 25th movie – Maharshi, which is progressing at the brisk pace. This is the first film in which Mahesh Babu is working with Vamsi Paidipally. According to the latest update, Maharshi is all about friendship and sacrifice. Allari Naresh will be seen in the role of Mahesh Babu’s friend.

 Mahesh Babu was last seen in Koratala Siva’s directorial venture Bharat Ane Nenu, in which he shared the screen space with Pooja Hegde. He was seen playing the role of Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. In Maharshi, Mahesh Babu is playing a college student and also the CEO of a software film.

Two actresses Pooja Hegde and Sonal Chauhan are playing the female leads.  The film is produced by C. Ashwini Dutt, Dil Raju and Prasad V. Potluri, under the banners of Vyjayanthi Movies, Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema whereas the music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad. KGF Next To Baahubali, 2.0

There was some hype on Yash starrer KGF Chapter 1 across the nation when its trailer first came out. But ever since the actual film graced the theaters, its collections and word of mouth publicity have been overwhelming. Not only has it become the highest grossing Kannada film of all time, but it also beat a film like Shah Rukh Khan's Zero.

KGF is doing steady business even on week days. The Hindi box office figures are still better than its Day 1 collections as it minted Rs 2.60 crore on Day 6, whereas on opening day it was Rs 2.10 crore. The total Hindi collections have hit Rs 19.05 crore for six days. With these impressive figures, KGF has emerged as the fourth highest Hindi dubbed film in India after Baahubali 2, 2.0 and Baahubali. Ram Charan and Jr NTR locked until 2019

Ram Charan and Young Jr NTR are currently working with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming much prestigious project RRR. The movie was launched on 11th November and the recently the makers also wrapped up the first schedule. As SS Rajamouli is busy in the wedding preparation of his son SS Karthikeya, he has stopped the shoot. It is expected that the next schedule of RRR will be started either by the end of January or the first week of February. Now the movie lovers and fans of Ram Charan and Jr NTR are eager to know when the film RRR will be released. It is heard that Rajamouli asked Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Young Tiger Jr NTR to keep their dairy free until October 2019.

 It means Rajamouli is planning to wrap the entire shoot of RRR by the end of October 2019 and later the post production work will be started.  It is expected that RRR starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR will be out in 2020.

The film RRR marks the first collaboration between Jr NTR and Ram Charan. While Rajamouli and Jr NTR have worked together in 3 movies, RRR will mark the second collaboration between Ram Charan and Rajamouli after their blockbuster movie, Magadheera in which Kajal Aggarwal played the female lead.

According to the latest buzz in the film industry, the film RRR will be set in the 1930s and will see Ram Charan and Jr NTR playing friends and they will die Again the friends will be reborn in the year 2018.

The film is yet to be titled and is being referred to as RRR (Rajamouli-Ram Charan-Rama Rao). The film is said to have minimal VFX works in compare of Baahubali. On the otherside, currently Ram Charan is busy in his next upcoming film Vinaya Vidheya Rama.

Victory Venkatesh known for entertaining all sections had scored a super hit with his debut film Kaliyuga Pandavulu. Director K Raghavendra Rao took special care since it is Venkatesh's very first film. He showed Venkatesh's role with negative shades initially and then this character becomes positive. In climax episode, Venkatesh and his friends were shown tortured with vultures.

What people do not know is fight master Vijayan used real vultures to shoot this particular action episode. For a scene where a vulture was seen piercing his neck, a wooden neck was created and kept on his back and piece of meat was placed on it. Venkatesh got scared when the vulture tried to eat the meat piece.

Even during introduction scene, Venkatesh was seen climbing steps along with his friends. Venkatesh delivers dialogue by standing on the top of the steps with his friends saying, “V for victory annadi paatha sametha… Vijay for victory annadi nenu shrushtinchina sametha”.

From then on he became Victory Venkatesh.

And this episode was telecast on last Sunday.  The biggest surprise came when  Rajamouli attacked Bollywood stars. Baahubali film maker made sensational comments on Bollywood actors which is giving shock to everyone.

Rajamouli said to Karan Johar, “In South Indian Film Industry, stars know what the audience wants and they are delivering that, unlike the Bollywood stars.” Karan Johar replied to SS Rajamouli, “Yes”. It is heard that Bollywood stars are hurt after hearing these words from Rajamouli. Though no one from Bollywood made comment on Magadheera director but they are fired on Karan Johar.

Rajamouli also opened up about the differences between Tollywood and Bollywood. While the film maker declared that director Shankar made better big-scale movies in comparison to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, he also added that he believed while south stars had their priorities in place whereas Bollywood stars seemed to be confused in deciding if they wanted to do what they wanted or what their fans wanted.

Rajamouli also said that he has been mistaken for Kattappa, the most popular character from Baahubali series (Baahubali :The Beginning and Baahubali 2:The Conclsuion)- the actors too admitted that they have been mistaken for each other by fans.

 On the work side, after delivering Baahubali, Rajamouli announced his net upcoming film RRR and the regular shoot has been already started. KGF Crosses 100 Cr, Great Feat

Same Blunder From Shankar, Hanu

Seems some choreographers and directors keep on shooting songs and scenes when a producer goes to any extent and pumps in money for the lavishness in films. However at the editing table, they come to reality about the film's duration and then bring heart attack by chopping off many songs and scenes. 

When star director Shankar who claimed that he had shot a song in an extravagant manner with Rs 20 crs, many waited eagerly for the song in 2.0. However much to the shock of all, the song on Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson came after completion of the film and many did not even care to wait for the song. The song at the end titles does not bring in any positive result and even without that there will not be any negative impact.

Even in case of Sharwanand, Sai Pallavi's Padi Padi Leche Manasu, director Hanu Raghavapudi claimed that he shot a song with 100 dances in the exotic locations of Rajasthan and claimed that it will be the highlight. But much to the shock of all, the song was no there in the film.

Buzz is the film's duration come to around 3 hours and those who watched the film commented that had the entire film been only first half; it would have become a hit. It is not clear why Hanu Raghavapudi deleted the song. 

Movie lovers would have got at least visual treat from the song. Now there will not be any result even if the makers include the song in the coming days. Why do makers shoot costly songs and do away with them wasting crores?

On 15th August, Hyderabad based production house Vibri Media announced that a biopic on the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa would soon be produced by them. They also announced that the film would be released to coincide with Jayalalithaa’s birth anniversary, 24th February next year. Vibri Media further said that director AL Vijay would helm the project and that it will star lead actors from Bollywood and the south. Now according to the latest buzz in the film Industry, Sai Pallavi has been roped in Jayalalithaa biopic and she will be seen playing the role of Jayalalithaa’s close friend Sasikala’s role whereas Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will play Jayalalithaa. The official confirmation regarding Sai Pallavi’s inclusion, is awaited.

 Taran Adarsh also confirmed the same news via his tweet, “Tamil filmmaker Vijay [of #Madrasapattinam] will direct #JayalalithaBiopic… He is overseeing the pre-production work of the film, based on the vision shared by producers Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Brinda Prasad… Film will star prominent names from Bollywood and South.”

 Another Jayalalithaa’s biopic titled The Iron Lady  is also being made in the film Industry in which Nithya Menen will play the lead role, which will be directed by Priyadarshini. Recently  Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and AR Murugadoss unveiled the title and first poster of the film.

 Sai Pallavi is well known face for Telugu and Tamil audiences. The sources says that makers of Jayalalithaa’s biopic approached Sai Pallavi to play the role of Sasikala but nothing is yet finalized.

 Sai Pallavi was last seen in recently released movie Padi Padi Leche Manasu in which she shared the screen space with young actor Sharwanand in the direction of Hanu Raghavapudi. The romantic and family entertainer was released on 21st December 2018 and received positive response. Sai Pallavi was also seen in Dhanush starrer Maari 2.

In the meantime Nithin after Srinivasa Kalyanam is about to star in a film under the direction of Venky Kudumula. The film is titled as Bheeshma and when fans asked for more details, Venky Kudumula posted, "For the people who were asking about #Bheeshma. Script is at final stage, @actor_nithiin anna just recovering from his shoulder injury n started workout to give his best look and madam @iamRashmika is as usual busy with shoots..!! We are coming in our best possible way soon."

Rashmika at once got a shock and she enquired, "I am so so soooo excited..@actor_nithiin omg!! I didn’t know sir..are you ok now?i hope you are feeling better.. @VenkyKudumula I am so excited  let’s kill it!! " Fans too started enquiring about Nithin's injury as no one was aware of it.” 

Nithin is pinning all his hopes on this film as his earlier films like Srinivasa Kalyanam, LIE, Chal Mohan Ranga did not get him the desired results at the box office. The young hero gave green signal to Venky to start the project. “Hey @iamRashmika i m much better now..cant wait to start our shoot..see u soon on sets..n @VenkyKudumula shoot eppudu start,” he posted.

Rana Daggubati : Anushka Shetty is sexiest actress

In yesterday’s episode of Koffee with Karan Season 6, Karan Johar was seen with Baahubali team– SS Rajamouli, Prabhas, and Rana Daggubati. Karan Johar’s chat show is in its season 6 and has featured distinctive pairs of celebs till now.  Karan Johar has collaborated with them before with the Baahubali franchise itself, whose Hindi dubbed version he distributed via his Dharma Productions.  On the sets of Koffee with Karan, Rana Daggubati revealed that in Telugu film Industry, Anushka Shetty is one of sexiest actress.

 When Karan Johar asked about the wedding of Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, Rajamouli said, “Marriage is an aspect that is a box to be ticked. That will get ticked.” Rana Daggubati was the one first one to play the rapid fire round.  Rana Daggubati, who has played cameo in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, said that  he would love to work with Deepika Padukone. He said that he finds Ranbir Kapoor one of the finest actors in the industry. The Tollywood hot chunk Rana Daggubati also  admitted that their Baahubali co-star Anushka Shetty is the sexiest actress in the Telugu industry.

In the rapid fire round, when Karan Johar asked Prabhas who is his preferred co-star amongst Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia,  and Kajal Aggarwal and he said, “Anushka Shetty but that has nothing to do with the rumour. She has been my friend for the last 8 years.” Prabhas also  revealed that he loves  Rajkumar Hirani and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s work.

 The Karan Johar Show (Baahubali episode)  was pretty interesting as one finally got to see South actors making their debut on Koffee With Karan.

 On the work side, Anushka Shetty was last seen in woman centric movie Bhaagamthie which was released in the month of January and recently she has signed a Tamil movie where she will be seen sharing the screen space with Madhavan.

Bad Luck for Rakul Preet Singh

Rakul Preet Singh, one of the top actresses down South, did not have a Telugu film release in 2018. It’s Bad luck! Rakul Preet Singh is one of the top actress who has shared the screen space with number of top stars like Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Chiranjeevi, Young Tiger Jr NTR, Akkineni Naga Chaitanya and others. On Several occasion she has expressed her desire to share the screen space with Power Star Pawan Kalyan but till date she did not get the chance. Rakul Preet Singh’s last film Sypder was released in September 2017 and after this she did not sign any Telugu movie as female lead.

 Spyder was a spy thriller drama, directed by AR Murugadoss, in which Superstar Mahesh Babu played the lead role and on its opening day the movie received mixed response by the movie lovers and was bombed at the box office.

Rakul Preet Singh has signed only one Telugu film, Venky Mama, as a female lead but the shooting has not yet started. She hoped that the film would start in December, but as Venkatesh is busy in the promotional activities of his upcoming movie F2 Fun and Frustrations, asked the makers to start the shoot of Venky Mama from next year. The film will be helmed by KS Ravinda alias Bobby.

 On the other side, Rakul Preet Singh will be seen playing cameo in NTR biopic, which is directed by Krish. Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the role of his father Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen playing late actress Sridevi, which will also be released next year. Though Rakul Preet Singh stays in Hyderabad as the city is her home now, she has no Telugu release and will have to wait till next summer for her next Telugu movie. But According to the latest buzz, Rakul Preet Singh has signed few Tamil and Hindi movies.

Khan Trio Completes Hat Trick Flops

Bollywood is completely dominated by Khan trio- Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. When Shah Rukh was in full swing and unanimously ruled the Indian cinema as top star, Salman was no way near to him. It was indeed SRK who opened market for Indian cinema in many foreign countries. But, the Bollywood Baadshah has been failing to score a hit in recent times.

Bollywood super star Salman Khan showed his power ever since Wanted became super hit. He has scored many hits than any other Hindi hero in last few years. And last but not least, Aamir Khan who is known for picking unique concepts has stunned most of the times coming up with different genre films.

Interestingly, the Khan trio after a long time has completed a calendar year without a hit delivering hat trick of flops. Salman Khan’s much hyped film Race 3 ended as a flop, though the film raked big numbers on day one.

Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated film Thugs Of Hindostan directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya also ended as a disaster. Before the release of this film, trade analysts predicted the film to break Baahubali records. But, the film received extreme negative reviews and it incurred heavy losses to buyers.

Shah Rukh Khan ends the year with flop. His Zero directed by Anand L Rai got lukewarm response. The film’s business should’ve witnessed solid growth on day 2 after an underwhelming day 1 (20.14 cr), but is struggling at the BO. Zero collected 18.22 cr on Saturday, taking two days total to 38.36 cr.

The trade hints out at Zero to be ended as an epic disaster like films of other two khans. So, with this, Khan heroes complete hat trick flops in 2018.

KGF Is Not Baahubali, Still

Telugu films have huge market in Karnataka. In fact, our films perform far better to local Sandalwood movies which is the reason why demand for banning other language movies is increasing in neighborhood state. However, we hardly ever get to see Kannada films having good release in Telugu land.

But, a Kannada dubbed film is giving shocks to Trade pundits and makers recent straight outings. Kannada Rock Star Yash starrer KGF (Kolar Gold Fields) Chapter 1 directed by Prashanth Neel of Ugramm fame is making waves in all the southern states as well as in North, despite heavy contest from local releases.

In Hindi, KGF has tough competition from Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero and in Telugu; the film is clashing with Varun Tej’s Antariksham 9000 KMPH and Sharwanand’s Padi Padi Leche Manasu. Although KGF raked minimal numbers compared to what the straight Telugu films collected at box office, theaters as well as collections have been increased for KGF from day two owing to huge demand.

Then, the question is why such huge craze for KGF. Is it an extra-ordinary film like Telugu magnum opus Baahubali. No, KGF is not an exceptional film when it comes to its plot. The story line is outdated and audience too got bored watching such regular films. Then, why people are thronging to watch such outdated subject.

It’s because of director Prashanth Neel’s vision and commendable execution of regular plot. The film has numerous elevation scenes which will make masses go crazy. Even before settling for a heavy action episode or mass elevation, you will find such heroism elevating sequence immediately. Dialogues are other biggest asset, alongside Yash’s manly looks and wonderful performance, vivid cinematography, enchanting background score and sharp editing.

Guess what, KGF is dominating Telugu films at overseas which is a rare phenomenon. While KGF grossed $ 75K on Saturday by 4:30 PM, Antariksham and PPLM minted $ 48K and $ 29K respectively. KGF is the fastest Kannada film to cross $200K mark in USA. KGF witnessed upward trend in Hindi with Rs 3 Cr on day two taking two days tally to 5.10 Cr.
