Andhra Pradesh politics is generating tremendous interest with CM Chandra Babu Naidu, Jagan Mohan Reddy and Pawan Kalyan trying to outsmart each other and win the coveted crown of the Chief Minister. Meanwhile, Tammareddy Bharawdaj made interesting comments on Pawan Kalyan, chief of Janasena Party.

He said, "Pawan Kalyan has huge fan following. That was the reason why Chandra Babu Naidu whom Pawan Kalyan supported in 2014 won the elections. He is going all alone at present and is fighting on issues touring all constituencies. It is better for Pawan Kalyan not to repeat the mistakes of Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam."

He continued saying, "Chiranjeevi's mild nature is the reason behind him ruling Tollywood empire as Mega Star. He may have failed in politics but he will take any decision only after discussing with everyone. This nature turned him mega star in films while the same turned him a zero in politics. Pawan Kalyan is not soft and he is arrogant. Right from his childhood he is like that and the question is whether it is correct in politics."

Tammareddy added, "Pawan should be careful in politics. He should come up with clear strategies on various issues along with special status while fighting for it. If not he will fall in the trap of Jagan and Chandra Babu's wily politicking. I went to Vizag when he gave call for special status fight but why did Pawan not come?"

“Many are thronging for Pawan Kalyan's meetings. At the same time many more came for Chiranjeevi's political meetings. But Chiranjeevi failed to convert them into votes. If Pawan is not careful, Janasena too get the same shock like Praja Rajyam," he concluded.

Breaking: Pilot Abhinandan To Be Released Tomorrow

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan while speaking at the country's parliament has declared that, Indian Air Force pilot Abhinandan Varthaman, taken captive by Pakistan yesterday, will be released tomorrow.

"We have an Indian pilot. As a peace gesture, we will release him tomorrow. We want peace and must sort out our problems via dialogue. I will speak to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as I want to de-escalate prevailing tension between the two countries. Our push for de-escalation doesn't mean we are afraid," said Imran Khan.

As per reports, Outgoing Defence Attache will accompany Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman as he returns via Wagah tomorrow.

Varthaman was captured yesterday after an aerial combat between Indian and Pakistani fighter planes. Before his capture, he shot down two Pakistani pilots and hit an F-16 jet, said the government.

Nandamuri hero Kalyan Ram said that Jabalpur girl Shalini Pandey was naughty during the shoot of 118 and it was very difficult for the people to control her. Director KV Guhan had immense trouble and he was unable to find the actress while shooting her scenes and in controlling her.”

Kalyan Ram added that though 118 has two actresses – Shalini Pandey and Nivetha Thomas but both will not be seen together in the movie.

Kalyan Ram starrer 118 is bankrolled by Mahesh S Koneru under the banner of East Coast Production. It has the music by Shekar Chandra.

On the other side, Shalini Pandey has multiple movies in her kitty. She is waiting for the release of 100% Kadhal and Gorilla, which are in post production stage. Apart from these movies, she will also be seen in upcoming Tamil movie Agni Siragugal, directed by Naveen and produced by T. Siva under the production banner Amma Creations. In this movie, she will be seen with Vijay Antony.

IAF Commander Dad Connection To Cheliya

Entire nation is praying for the safe release of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman who was held captive by Pakistan army after his MIG 26 crashed across the border in the heightened tensions between India Pakistan after IAF strikes inside Pakistan which destroyed terrorist camps.

In the midst of all this, it is coming out that star director Maniratnam consulted Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman's father for his film Kaatru Veliyidai (Cheliya in Telugu) which starred Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari.

The film was all about Kargil War and an Indian Air Force fighter jet is shot down by Pakistan. Karthi played the role of Sqn Ldr Varun Chakrapani in the film.

Maniratnam during that time consulted Abhinandan Varthaman's father Air Marshal Varthaman for inputs for the film. What Maniratnam portrayed in the film and the worst fears of Varthaman came true when his son Abhinandan was held captive.

Stylish Star Allu Arjun is silent for nearly a year after the shock he got from his film Naa Peru Surya Naa Illu India. After much deliberations and afterthought, he finally locked wizard of words Trivikram Srinivas for his next.

Lakshmis NTR Release Date Locked

All eyes are on maverick director Ram Gopal Varma’s most controversial film Lakshmi’s NTR. Movie buffs are waiting keenly to watch the film to know the occurrences after Lakshmi Parvathi entered NTR’s life. RGV claimed that, he will be showing only truths in his film, unlike Balakrishna’s NTR Biopic which was ended abruptly without showing last phase of NTR.

Initially, RGV thought of releasing Lakshmi’s NTR alongside NTR Mahanayakudu. But, he postponed the film owing to delay in production and post-production works. The film is currently in post-production stage and RGV is planning to release it on March 15th to cash on summer holidays.

Showing Power As Political Rivals

Everyone knows that YS Rajasekhar Reddy and Chandra Babu Naidu used to be bitter rivals. Though both started their journey as thick friends in the Congress party, later Chandra Babu Naidu joined TDP and the rest is history. Both went on to become Chief Ministers of united Andhra Pradesh and both fought many bitter battles.

While Chandra Babu became CM for the first time in 1995 and led TDP to victory in 1999, YSR became CM in 2004 and led Congress to victory in 2009. In a surprising twist, an upcoming actor Sri Tej played the roles of these bitter rivals on screen.

Kalyan Ram is getting ready to test his luck with a thriller titled 118. The film starring Shalini Pandey and Nivetha Thomas under the direction of Guhan is slated for a grand release on March 1st.

The makers celebrated the pre release event and it was graced by Natasimha Balakrishna and Young Tiger NTR. Speaking at the function, NTR surprised all saying he was tear struck while watching a scene from 118.

He said, “I watched 118 film. During a scene which featured Nivetha Thomas, tears started coming down from my eyes. She is a great actress in the present generation. Shalini too worked hard for her role. They two will play crucial role in the film's success."

NTR further said, “I know Guhan very well as a cinematographer. While he was cinematographer, we worked for Badshah. He is a hard worker and for Bantipoola Janaki song which was shot at -13 degrees, he ensured that artists do not get affected and placed heaters etc but he shot the song shivering in freezing temperatures."

Sye Raa Gets Unexpected Shock

Mega Star Chiranjeevi's upcoming entertainer Sye Raa directed by Surender Reddy is generating tremendous interest among movie lovers across the country. Bollywood Super Star Big B Amitabh Bachchan is playing a powerful role of Gosai Venkanna , mentor of India's first freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy in the film.

India-Based Film Wins Oscar Award

Indian-based documentary film titled “Period: End of Sentence”, that tackles the stigma around menstruation in rural India, has won the Best Documentary Short Subject at the 91st Academy Awards. The film has been co-produced by Guneet Monga and directed by 25-year-old Rayka Zehtabchi.

Monga wrote after the Oscar winner on Twitter, “WE WON!!! To every girl on this earth... know that you are a goddess... if heavens are listening... look MA we put @sikhya on the map.”

The documentary feature is set in Hapur village outside Delhi, where women lead a quiet revolution as they fight against the deeply rooted stigma of menstruation. For generations, these women did not have access to sanitary pads, which lead to health issues and girls dropping out from schools.

When a sanitary pad vending machine is installed in the village, the women learn to manufacture and market their own pads, empowering their community. They name their brand "FLY".

The film was nominated along with Black Sheep, End Game, Lifeboat and A Night At The Garden.

Directed by award-winning Iranian-American filmmaker Rayka Zehtabchi, the film is created by The Pad Project, an organisation established by an inspired group of students at the Oakwood School in Los Angeles and their teacher, Melissa Berton.

"I'm not crying because I'm on my period or anything. I can't believe a film on menstruation won an Oscar," Zehtabchi said in her acceptance speech.

Mahesh Waited Patiently For 5 Hours

Generally celebrities get easy access at various important places. They are treated as special persons and VVIPs and ensured safe and easy passage without having to go through the hassles the common people are subjected to.

However much to the surprise of all, it is coming out that Super Star Mahesh Babu waited for more than five hours patiently at Shamshabad airport. It is known that Mahesh is shooting for his upcoming entertainer Maharshi under the direction of Vamsi Paidipally.

The makers planned to cane important scenes on Mahesh Babu and others at Shamshabad airport, one of the World's largest airports. Mahesh reached the airport at 7.30 AM and he waited in his caravan as officials at the airport asked the crew and Maharshi team to wait for their consent for the shoot.

Officials kept them waiting denying them permission and Mahesh returned back after waiting patiently for five hours. The shoot was cancelled as the airport officials denied them permission.

It is known that after the terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir and threat to hijack Air India planes, security has been beefed up across the country. Mahesh's patience and work commitment is winning the appreciation of everyone.

Nadendla Can Only Save Mahanayakudu

Natasimha Balakrishna's prestigious biopic on his dad ,former CM and legendary actor NTR is fast becoming the greatest disaster in Tollywood. It is known that the film's first part Kathanayakudu, disappeared from theaters too early despite getting good reviews, and the second part Mahanayakudu which released couple of days back, got negative reviews and is disappearing without a trace.

Even a miracle won't save the film and many are trolling Balakrishna and AP CM Chandra Babu for the undue interference tampering the real facts. In the midst of all this, the makers may get another shock as Nadendla Bhaskara Rao, whom the makers portrayed as the villain, speaking to scribes vowed to take legal action.

The moment the makers released the trailer, many wondered why Nadendla who warned the makers about legal action if they tarnish his image was silent. However two days after the film release, Nadendla who was shown as a backstabber in the film made it clear that he was consulting his legal team for the further action.

He said, "Including Jayakrishna, Balayya and Chandrababu, they have killed their own father (and mama) with their tactics; and why wouldn't they show me as a villain. They will do anything to distort history."

He even attacked Krish who claimed that there was no fiction in the film and everything was inspired by the real incidents, saying Krish though 45 year old, was unaware of the happenings in 1982 and the film was made only to promote Chandra Babu. He said their agenda will not work as people are not that blind and deaf.

Now all eyes are on Nadendla and what action he will take. Many feel the makers may pray for Nadendla to slap legal notices and hope that the legal tangle boost the tanking Mahanayakudu. But others advice that it is better for Nadendla to remain silent as Mahanayakudu is already getting written off as the biggest disaster.

When Mahesh Made Star Director Run Around

Star director Kodi Ramakrishna passed away due to ill health couple of days back leaving Tollywood tear struck. Super Star Krishna recollected his association with Kodi Ramakrishna during his interaction with scribes.

He said, "Ramakrishna after turning director teamed up with me for the first time in 1983 with Poratam. Producer S Ramarao sent Ramakrishna to me and narrated the story. I liked it very much and agreed to do the film. During the film shooting, my son Mahesh Babu came to the sets. He was very small and was good looking. Ramakrishna asked his assistant director about Mahesh Babu.

During that time , he didnot decide anyone for my brother's role in the film. Ramakrishna insisted on casting Mahesh in the role after knowing that he was my son. Even I agreed. But Mahesh who was small, troubled a lot and escaped from Ramakrishna without participating in the shoot, running around the entire studio. He somehow pampered Mahesh and completed the first day, first take. The film thus turned out to be a hit. Mahesh first featured for few minutes in Dasari Narayana Rao's Needa and turned full length child artist with Poratam under Ramakrishna Kodi, Dasari's protege."

Krishna continued saying, "While Doondi produced Goodhachari 116 with me, Ramakrsihna directed Goodhachari 117, a Bond type film in 1989. I liked the film the moment Ramakrishna narrated me the story. Even in that fim, Ramakrishna cast Mahesh Babu for an important role and extracted good acting from him. He even shot couple of songs and made Mahesh do break dances with this film which got him good name and craze."

Ram Pothineni to take on Hyderabad mafia The talented and creative film maker Puri Jagannadh has been facing a lot of box office duds for the past few years. He is planning to make his strong comeback with his upcoming directorial venture iSamart Shankar in which young and energetic actor Ram Pothineni is playing the lead role. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Ram Pothineni will be seen playing police and rowdy in iSamart Shankar like Mahesh Babu in Pokiri. Ram Pothineni will take on Hyderabad mafia in typical Telangana style.

The sources say that the storyline of iSamart Shankar is very close to Mahesh Babu starrer Pokiri, which was released in 2006. Directed by Puri Jagannad and co-produced by Manjula Ghattamaneni, in which Ileana D’Cruz, played the female lead role. In Pokiri Mahesh Babu played the role of Krishna, a police officer, disguised himself as a thug and joined the mafia in order to enter the underworld and wiped it out.

Ram Pothineni will be seen romancing with Nidhhi Agarwal and Nabha Natesh in iSamart Shankar. Puneeth Issar, Milind Gunaji, Satya Dev and Ashish Vidyarthi will be seen in important roles. Mani Sharma is composing the music for iSmart Shankar.

Few days ago, Puri Jagannadh released the first look poster in which Ram Pothineni was seen in a rugged but stylish makeover. The poster of the film also revealed the caption, Double Simcard. Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur are producing the project under Puri Jagannadh Touring Talkies banner in association with Puri Connect.
