Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer high octane action entertainer War hit the screens yesterday, and fans thronged the theatres to see their stars battle it out in an epic face-off. The film, which released on around 4000 screens, has a remarkable opening of around Rs 50 crore Nett on day one. This is biggest opening for both the stars.

Interestingly, Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy also released in Hindi to combat with War. However, the Surender Reddy film has no answer for the Bollywood film. The film's Hindi version collected just 1.5 to 2 Cr Nett. War became one side with Siddharth Anand directed film showing huge dominance at box office in North.

Actually, War received mixed to negative ratings from Bollywood critics, wherein Sye Raa got good marks from the same critics. They expect Sye Raa to witness some growth in coming days since the word of mouth is extremely positive.

On the other hand, Sye Raa is ruling the box office in south, especially in Telugu states. Nonetheless, War is off to poor openings here.

Sye Raa Reaches 1 Million Mark

Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s dream project Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy released yesterday to overwhelming response from all the corners. The film directed by Surender Reddy is off to packed houses in Telugu states. Nonetheless, the film failed to reach the one million mark in USA through premieres.

Sye Raa collected $818K from premieres and as per trade reports the film has reached one million mark in the territory. The trade pundits predict the film to do steady business in coming days.
