Rajamouli Reveals RRR Strategy

SS Rajamouli's upcoming entertainer RRR with Ram Charan and NTR is increasing the interest among movie lovers across the country. Though the film's second schedule is underway, Rajamouli is not willing to reveal any details of the film like story, heroines etc.

His secrecy on heroines is making movie lovers impatient. In the meantime speculation is increasing on Rajamouli's RRR strategy. Rajamouli is known to reveal the main plot of all his films during launch of his films or during shoot.

He followed similar strategy for his films Eega and Maryada Ramanna. Rajamouli however surprised all saying, “I follow different strategies for my films. I am not going to reveal anything about RRR’s story unlike what I did for Maryada Ramanna and Eega. I’ll talk about RRR at an appropriate time.”

RRR features NTR and Ram Charan as brothers in 2019 timeline and as poor guy and rich Zamindar in 1940s timeline. The film is slated for grand release in 2020.

Krish Agrees Of Having Differences

Director Krish made sensational allegations against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut after the later claimed credits for Manikarinka-The Queen of Jhansi, a biopic on freedom fighter Jhansi Lakshmi Bai, after Krish left the project in the final stages, to concentrate on Natasimha Balakrishna's NTR biopic.

This came as a shocker as Krish is known for is calm and friendly nature with his team. Even Bollywood celebrities too came in support of the director. Krish did not pursue the issue and he revealed since the producer was ill, he decided not to increase his tensions.

Meanwhile, Krish stunned all confessing that even during NTR biopic shooting, there were misapprehensions. He said Balakrishna's relative used to look after the production activities and Krish had differences with him two to three times.

He revealed that the issues were sorted out after Balakrishna intervened and solved them. Despite all his efforts Kathanayakudu for all the positive reviews turned out to be a disaster and Mahanayakudu which released yesterday is fast disappearing without a trace.

Mithai Fight Takes Ugly Turn

Rahul Ravindran and Priyadarshi starrer dark comedy film Mithai is slammed by critics and audience alike because of poor writing and execution. The film directed by Prashant Kumar is turning out to be a disaster. Today, Rahul Ramakrishna posted on Twitter to say he feels regret for doing Mithai, though he respects director’s ideas and wild imagination.

Apparently, Prashant Kumar is not happy with Rahul’s statement and he released an open letter to blame his actors for throwing all the responsibility of the film’s failure on him. “I raise my hand and take responsibility for the failure, somewhere audience failed to connect with the film.”

Talking about those left him after audience verdict came out, he stated, “The cast has slowly started to dissociate themselves, which is pretty much understandable if a film is a hit 100 people come to take credit. If it bombs director is the lonely man standing. I am not lonely my cameraman Ravivarman Neelamegam, my sound designer Sachin Sudhakaran and my music director Vivek Sagarand the direction department are standing with me.”

Analysts opine that, Rahul Ravindran should not have made such negative remarks about him film, even in the case of he did not like it. “Even star heroes don’t make such statements, when their films tank at box office,” say they. Already, Mithai fight took ugly turn with director saying he is not getting any support from his team.

Kodi To Chiru, Sampeddam Guru

Ace director Kodi Ramakrishna breathed his last yesterday leaving Tollywood tear struck. Celebrities paid floral tributes to the departed soul and offered their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

It is known that Kodi Ramakrishna made his entry into Tollywood with mega star Chiranjeevi's Intlo Ramayya Veedhilo Krishnayya. Chiranjeevi paying floral tributes to Kodi Ramakrishna recollected his association with him.

“Our relationship continued ever since we met in 1981. I was busy doing action films during that time, but I couldn't refuse him when he narrated Intlo Ramayya Veedhilo Krishnayya story. It created a rare record by playing in theatres for one and half year. Later we did 5-6 films. He used to select different genres with various stars. 

When I planned to do a film in Hindi, I felt that doing a Telugu film remake would be good and the first film that came to my mind was Kodi Ramakrishna's Ankusam. I did in Hindi as Pratibandh and it got me good fame. He used to share his love story with me when he was a bachelor. He always used to be mentally strong and always used to say 'Sampeddam Guruvugaru' whenever we met."

Popular Actor Regrets Doing That Film

Rahul Ramakrishna shot to fame with Vijay Devarakonda starred Arjun Reddy and later starred in several hit films such as Bharat Ane Nenu, Sammohanam, Geetha Govindam. When his career is in full swing, Rahul did a grave mistake by accepting to do one of lead roles in a dark comedy film Mithai which released yesterday to unenthusiastic response. Critics call it as one of the worse films in recent times.

Apparently, Rahul Ramakrishna, who has become prime choice for comedy roles in star hero films feel regret for doing Mithai which also starred his close friend Priyadarshi. The actor even apologized to Telugu audience for disappointing them. Here are series of tweets posted by Rahul Ramakrishna:

We tried our best to repair the film but our efforts were in vain. I had predicted this outcome of the film and was reluctant to promote it. My apologies to everybody for yesterday’s experience at the theatres. I still have respect for the director’s ideas and wild imagination.

If anything, this film has been a great learning experience that taught me two things: to trust my ability to judge a person’s skill set. Caving into the pressure of being worked will never bring good results.

Secondly and perhaps the most important: I’m deeply touched by the several hundred messages I’ve received from concerned well-wishers, wondering why and what went wrong with the film. This display of loyalty was one of the most powerful experiences of my life.

But here’s a promise: the next time you see me on screen, and you’ll see me paired with your dearest Priyadarshi again, I promise you, you will see us blaze the screen. We’ve done a fantastic job together and I say this with immense confidence.

I would also like to say that those who think writing/doing comedy is a menial job, look unto us. Making an audience laugh is the toughest thing to do in performing arts. I have said this before and I say this now, with renewed experience, making comedy is a daunting task.

Being called a “comedian”, however much I don’t associate with it, is actually a great, endearing title of honour for me. It is another matter that we ( me and a lot of talented actors ) are perceived that way because of a patronising gaze. Comedy is a very serious business.

I’m really happy that I work for an audience who have been brutally honest with our film. As a student of life, I believe this a great moment worth cherishing. Thank you all and may all of you recover well from your experiences. I bid you a good day..

Court Warns Veteran Heroines

Many companies take people for a ride coming up with commercials featuring celebrities claiming that using their weight loss products; they lost 20-30kgs in a week. These exaggerated claims make many wonder about the efficiency of the products but few falls in their trap.

Consumer Court in Vijayawada after going through the complaint, directed Kolors agency to return back  Rs. 74,652 paid by the customers with 9 percent interest immediately after holding it responsible for the fraud. It also fined the agency a fine of Rs 2 lakhs.

Court directed the agency to stop commercials featuring yesteryear actresses Raashi and Rambha. Many are hailing the judgment passed by Juastice Madhavi Rao holding Kolors Weight Loss Clinic responsible for the fraud and fining it duly. Court warned that, celebrities who endorse such fake products will have to pay hefty fines.
