Why She Rejected Aravinda Sametha?

Yesteryear actress Laya with her gorgeous looks and exceptional performances got true recognition even though Telugu filmmakers preferred other language heroines. After attaining stardom romancing top stars, Laya disappeared from the industry marrying an NRI doctor.

She recently appeared on screen along with her daughter in Mass Maharaja Raviteja\'s Amar Akbar Antony. The actress meanwhile revealed the reason for rejecting Young Tiger NTR and Trivikram Srinivas\'s Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava.

She informed, “I rejected many films though I got offers as all of them are more than my age. The filmmakers themselves told me that I look young for those roles. I rejected NTR\'s Aravinda Sametha only for this reason.\"

Laya who romanced Balakrishna however expressed sadness for missing opportunities to romance Mega Star Chiranjeevi, King Nagarjuna and Victory Venkatesh.

About her addiction for Diet Coke, she said, “I like diet coke a lot though I knew that it is not good for health. There is a reason for this. When I went to a Kirana store in Vijayawada when I was young and asked for Gold Spot, he told he was not having Gold Spot but had Limca and ThumsUp.

Two young boys teased me saying why you are still drinking Gold Spot like a small girl. I got angry and then drank ThumsUp in a gulp and from then on got used to it. I started drinking diet coke in US as ThumsUp is not available. I decided to do away with this habit slowly.\"
