Baahubali remake – Bad Idea?

Dorasani Trailer: Revolutionary Love

After impressing with eye-catching posters and an intriguing teaser, makers of Dorasani have come up with a theatrical trailer which gives insight into the film’s story. Going by the trailer, Dorasani is all about love story of Dora’s daughter and a daily labor’s son.

Vijay Devaranonda’s brother Anand Devarakonda plays the protagonist while Jeevitha-Rajasekhar’s daughter Shivathmika will be seen as young mistress.

Dorasani Trailer begins with serious conversation between two elderly prisoners- one, apparently is Anand, who is about to release the next day after being in prison for 3 decades.

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you,” is the quotation used to exhibit the extreme condition of Anand.

The romantic track is delightful with Ekanthala song as background score. Cinematography is appropriate with exceptional taking by KVR Mahindra. “Our love is also a revolution,” says Anand passing a statement of love is a war.

Feudal system and naxalism are also included as sub-plots in the periodic romantic saga.

Dorasani is slated for release on 12th of this month.

Vijaya Nirmala Death: Krishna Breaks Into Tears

Mortal remains of veteran actress and director Vijaya Nirmala who passed away today are kept at her residence in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad. Vijaya Nirmala’s final rites will be performed tomorrow at her farmhouse in Chilkur.

Vijaya Nirmala’s husband and veteran actor Krishna turned emotional and broke into tears as he saw the body of his wife. Vijaya Nirmala’s son Naresh also couldn’t control his emotions and burst into tears.

Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar paid their tributes to Vijaya Nirmala. It is known that, as a mark of respect to Vijaya Nirmala, Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi 50 days event has been postponed.

Vijaya Nirmala’s final journey will begin from her house in Nanakramguda from 8 AM.

Veteran actor and director Vijaya Nirmala’s demise is a huge shock for entire film fraternity. Tollywood celebrities took to social media to express their grief over the death of her.

Deeply saddened by the sudden demise of Vijaya Nirmala Garu, 50 days event of Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi which was scheduled for June 28th has been postponed. Few reported that, the event has been cancelled. The makers, however, clarified that, the event is very much on, but has been postponed to other date.

Sri Venkateswara Creations, production banner of Maharshi Tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Vijaya Nirmala garu. Her success story is an inspiration for every aspiring film maker. Our deepest condolences to Krishna garu and his family. #RIPVijayaNirmalaGaru.

#Maharshi 50 days event which was scheduled for 28th June 2019 stands postponed.”

“#RIPVijayaNirmalaGaru... Her Legacy will Live On...... My Heartfelt condolences to the family.” Tweeted Maharshi film director Vamshi Paidipally who is expected to direct Mahesh Babu’s 27th film.

Vijaya Nirmala’s final rites will be performed tomorrow, as announced by her son and actor Naresh.

Tollywood Mourns Demise Of Vijaya Nirmala

Veteran actress and filmmaker Vijaya Nirmala passed away in a private hospital in Hyderabad today early this morning. She was 75. She is survived by husband Krishna and son Vijaya Naresh. Mahesh Babu and Manjula Ghattamaneni are her step-children.

Naresh, revealed that the last rites will be held tomorrow. Those wanting to pay Vijaya Nirmala their last respects can do so at the family residence in Hyderabad.

Naresh informed, “I regret to inform you that my Mother senior Artiste, prominent Producer & Director, Dr. G Vijayanirmala Garu passed away during early hours today, that is, 27.6.2019, at Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad, due to sickness. She was 75.

Her body will be kept at our residence ( Nanakramguda) today from 11am. Her final rites will be held tomorrow, that is, 28.6.2019. Further information will be updated.”

The entire film fraternity is shocked by the sudden demise of Vijaya Nirmala. Many celebrities took to social media to express their grief over the death of Nirmala.

Maharshi Streaming Date Is Here

Super Star Mahesh Babu’s biggest earner Maharshi will be released soon in Prime Video. Usually, Amazon used to stream films after 3 weeks after their release in theaters. However, due to new rules, films will be streamed only after seven weeks of theatrical run. So, Maharshi will be available in Amazon Prime Video from July 3rd.

Amazon has announced a bunch of new movie and TV series titles that will be streamed on Prime Video in the run-up to one of its biggest sales of the year: Prime Day, which runs for two days from July 15-16. Starting July 1, Amazon Prime Video will release at least one prominent title for two straight weeks until July 14.

It may be recalled that Amazon had grabbed the rights of Mahesh Babu's previous summer blockbuster Bharat Ane Nenu. The Koratala Siva directorial was released in Amazon within a month days.

Maharshi streaming rights were sold for record price of Rs 11 crores. Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh played prominent roles in the film directed by Vamsi Paidipally.

Samantha Akkineni samantha and mahesh babu is one the most talented actress of south Indian film industry. Recently in an interview, Samantha revealed that she is not interest in Bollywood. It is known news that on several occasions, Mahesh Babu has also said same that he was happy in Tollywood and not interested to test his luck in Bollywood. Samantha said that she was from Chennai and was a complete South-natured girl. She further said, “I have no knowledge or idea about North audience or their preferences. I will be a complete alien.”

Naga Shourya is also the part of Samantha Akkineni starrer Oh Baby, which is gearing up for grand release on 5th July 2019. Apart from Oh Baby, Samantha will also be seen sharing the screen space with Sharwanand in 96 remake.

Film makers are confused to cast Samantha Akkineni

After Rajamouli, now Koratala Siva for Jr NTR

If ongoing buzz in media and film industry is to be believed, Young Tiger Jr NTR is planning to collaborate with Koratala Siva for an upcoming project. It is known news that Koratala Siva is popular for delivering social message oriented movies. His previous offering Bharat Ane Nenu starring Superstar Mahesh Babu was blockbuster at the box office. Recently he has made official announcement about his next project with Megastar Chiranjeevi, which will be bankrolled by Ram Charan under the banner of Konidela Productions. Now according to the latest buzz, Koratala Siva and Jr NTR project has been finalized.

Currently Jr NTR is working with Rajamouli for a movie RRR, which is bankrolled by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainments. The film also has Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. It will hit the theaters on 30th July 2020 in various languages. The movie of Koratala Siva and Jr NTR will go on the floor after the release of RRR.

The sources say that Jr NTR is very impressed with his character, narrated by Koratala Siva and has given nod for the movie.

If everything will go accordingly, Koratala Siva will have two releases in 2020 which is a rare feat for any director with two top heroes.

Danayya quoting Rs 80 Cr for RRR Nizam rights

DVV Danayya is spending Rs 300 Cr for his upcoming production venture RRR, which has Mega Power Star Ram Charan and young Tiger Jr NTR in lead role and is being helmed by SS Rajamouli. The movie has started the pre-business. According to the latest buzz, DVV Danayya is quoting Rs 80 Cr for Nizam area and noted producer and distributor Dil Raju along with Asian Sunil are trying to grab Nizam rights of upcoming war drama RRR. Dil Raju and Asian Sunil are bargaining with DVV Danayya to get RRR’ Nizam rights.

We have already reported that Phars Films, the Dubai-based leading film distribution house, has grabbed Rajamouli And DVV Danayya’ RRR overseas theatrical rights by paying whooping price of Rs 70 Cr. It was heard that the makers showed few actions sequences of RRR to the representatives of Phars Films and as they were very impressed with the action sequences, so they locked the deal.

RRR is a fictitious story based on two freedom fighters. Set in the 1920s, the film reveals both of them away from home in Delhi before they start fighting for the country.

Young Hero Suffers Serious Injuries

Young hero Naga Shaurya who was recently seen in films like Kanam, Ammammagarillu, and Nartanasala is currently starring in Ashwathama romancing Mehreen Kaur Pirzada under the direction of newcomer Ramana Teja.

The film's shooting had been progressing in Visakhapatnam. Unfortunately, Naga Shaurya got seriously injured while enacting a high voltage action scene all by himself without using body double and ropes. The fight masters took extreme caution while composing the action sequences. However, during one of the major parkour sequences, Naga Shaurya jumped off a building that was over 15 feet tall and dislocated his knee while landing.

The makers immediately rushed him to the nearby hospital and doctors advised him complete bed rest for 25 days. His snaps in a wheelchair with his leg heavily strapped in bandage are worrying his fans.

Naga Shaurya will next be seen in Samantha’s Oh Baby. Directed by Nandini Reddy, the film is scheduled for release on 5th July.

Comic Legend Crazy Mohan No More

Tamil actor-writer ‘Crazy’ Mohan breathed his last at 2pm today at Kauvery Hospital in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, after he suffered a massive cardiac arrest. He was 67. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Born in 1952 as Mohan Rangachari, he had written dialogue and screenplays for numerous films. Crazy thieves in Palavakkam, Chocolate Krishna have been some of the famous plays written by Crazy Mohan.

Introduced by Kamal Haasan to the big screen, the comic legend worked for several films of the actor including Apoorva Sagodhargal (1989),Michael Madana Kama Rajan (1990), Sathi Leelavathi (1995), Avvai Shanmughi (1996), Kaathala Kaathala (1998) and Vasool Raja MBBS (2004).

His dialogues are known to provide wisecracking commentary on daily life. His humor was harmless. No double-meaning lines or below-the-belt punches. Not even politically incorrect ones. He showed that you needn't poke fun at others to make people laugh: there were many other ways to do it.

Saaho: Shraddha Kapoor Fierce Look

Shraddha Kapoor’s first look poster from Saaho has been unveiled. Dressed in a black top and denims with a red jacket, hair left unkempt, she looks fierce, yet elegant in the action packed poster, where she is seen aiming a gun at somebody. They also announced to release Saaho teaser on June 13th, while the same will be screened in theaters from the next day that is from 14th.

The official Twitter handle of Saaho shared the poster and wrote, "The big revelation about the year's biggest action thriller from India. Enter the world of SAAHO with the Teaser on 13th June. Experience it in theatres from 14th June! #SaahoTeaser #15AugWithSaaho (sic)"

Shraddha Kapoor on her Tollywood debut is playing a powerful role which will have good importance. She will also be seen performing some daredevil stunts.

Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho is produced by Vamsi-Pramod of UV Creations and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. Apart from Prabhas and Shraddha, the movie also features Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arun Vijay, Evelyn Sharma, Mandira Bedi and Jackie Shroff.

The makers of Saaho released two making videos which promises that the film would be an edge-of-the-seat thriller with some high-octane stunt sequences. Saaho is in last leg of shooting and the film is slated for release on August 15th.

Balakrishna Has No Option Other Than Kalyan

Announcing Natasimha Nandamuri Balakrishna’s 105th film and also wishing him on his birthday, makers of the yet to be titled film released a poster. Noticeably, the picture is taken from Jai Simha, Balakrishna’s last film with KS Ravikumar under C Kalyan’s production.

Today, both KS Ravikumar and C Kalyan went to Balakrishna’s residence to wish him on his birthday. Actually, the film was supposed to be launched today, but it is pushed to other date. Many wonder why Balakrishna is doing his 105th film with KS Ravikumar, when star directors like Boyapati Srinu and VV Vinayak are ready for him.

Actually, producers are not keen to invest high budgets on Balakrishna who tasted bitter result with his dream project- NTR Biopic which was made as two part series NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu.

C Kalyan is the only option left with Balakrishna. In fact, C Kalyan too is not daring to take the huge risk of making high budget entertainer with Balakrishna. When KS Ravikumar approached him with the proposal of making the film within the budget, C Kalyan came forward to produce the film.

On the other hand, Boyapati Srinu who is not learning from his mistakes is still demanding high budget for his film with Balakrishna. When no producer is coming forward to invest on the film, Balakrishna chose KS Ravikumar for his next.

It has to be seen whether Boyapati will cut down budget for the film or wait for some more time until someone comes forward to invest the budget he’s demanding!

Nandamuri Balakrishna will be seen playing the role of a honest police officer in Kranthi who will take action on corrupt politicians.He is prepping up for his role in this upcoming film and pretty soon, other details about this film will be revealed.

During the promotional activities of NTR biopic, Nandamuri Balakrishna had confirmed that his next movie would be directed by Boyapati Srinu. However, post the Vinaya Vidheya Rama fiasco, Simha star changed his mind.

Samantha reacts on her pregnancy

Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya tied the knot in 2017. Now, the rumors were rife that the couple is expecting their first baby. Samantha’ pregnancy has become the hot topic of discussion on social media. Finally Samantha responded in a funny way. Retweeting the post of an online portal that asked “Is Samantha pregnant”. Heres Official Announcement From Valmiki

Earlier, we reported that, Mega Prince Varun Tej’s hilarious mass action entailer Valmiki directed by Harish Shankar will hit the screens on September 6th. Here comes official confirmation regarding the same from the film unit. “Meet Valmiki in theaters on September 6th 2019,” they announced through this poster. The poster features gun and film roll.

Varun Tej is essaying the lead role of a gangster in this Telugu remake of Tamil super hit Jigarthanda, while Tamil actor Atharvaa Murali is playing one of the other central characters.

Harish Shankar is not planning it as an exact remake but has made some changes to the script to suit the Telugu audiences. Pooja Hegde and Mrinalini Ravi are the female leads.

Valmiki is bankrolled by Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta under 14 Reels Plus banner, while Mickey J Meyer is composing the music.

Senior Actor Girish Karnad Passes Away

Senior actor, filmmaker and playwright Girish Karnad passed away today at 6:30 AM at his residence in Bangalore due to multiple organ failure. He was 81. Girish Karnad was survived by wife Saraswathi, son Raghu Karnad, a journalist and writer and daughter Radha, a doctor based in Kenya.

Girish Karnad predominantly worked in South Indian cinema and Bollywood. He rose to fame with his coming of age of modern Indian playwriting in Kannada. He was a recipient of the 1998 Jnanpith Award, the highest literary honor conferred in India. He was also conferred the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, and had won several accolades for direction in Kannada cinema.

Girish Karnad starred in several Telugu films such as Dharma Chakram, Shankar Dada MBBS, Komaram Puli etc. He was last seen in Bollywood film Tiger Zinda Hai.

Tabu to romance Venkatesh

Recently we have reported that Victory Venkatesh is going to play the lead role in the remake of Bollywood blockbuster movie De De Pyaar De in which Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh played the lead role and the movie is running successfully at the box office and has turned out blockbuster at the box office. Unique publicity stunts by iSmrat Shankar

Recently we have reported that Puri Jagannadh’s Puri Connects filed a complaint with Hyderabad Cyber-crime Police, alleging that an Instagram user named Murali Krishna is demanding money from him to delete the script of iSmart Shankar, which he posted on his account. In the complainant, Puri Jagannadh, said, “On 6th June, we noticed that some persons have uploaded a part of the script of my upcoming directorial venture iSmart Shankar on Instagram. When we asked the admin of Instagram admin, Murali Krishna, to take down the script, he demanded money and threatened to post the entire scripts if his demands were not met.” Now it is being heard that it’s a publicity stunt by the team of iSmrat Shankar.

Netizens are saying that Puri Jagannadh and his producer Charmme Kaur are doing publicity stunts to get attention to their upcoming project iSmart Shankar. They are also saying that any such stunts don’t work because the audiences like message oriented movie.

Ram Pothineni and Nidhhi Agerwal is also playing the female lead in the film, which has the music by Mani Sharma. Ismart Shankar is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur.
