Makkal Sudar Parvai Iyyakkam in Coimbatore lodged a complaint against Sri Annapurna Agro Foods for selling substandard oil. Actress Anjali endorsed the oil turning its brand ambassador.
The members of Makkal Sundar Parvai Iyyakkam in their complaint asked the officials to book a case on Anjali and investigate her for misleading people by endorsing the cheap brand.
Food Safety Officer Tamil Selvan speaking to scribes promised to take necessary action after conducting the proper lab tests. He added that he, however, cannot take action against Anjali.
