Young hero Nikhil revived his career by doing different genre films like Swamy Ra Ra, Karthikeya, Ekkadiki Potavu Chinna Vada after unsuccessfully trying for mass image following the success of Happy Days.
He is now pinning all his hopes on Arjun Suravaram, a remake of Kanithan. Arjun Suravaram's release has been postponed on numerous occasions on various grounds which resulted in a complete decrease in interest levels.
In the meantime, Nikhil participating in Manchu Lakshmi's Feet Up With The Stars, made the startling revelation that he fell in love with a doctor. He, however, did not reveal the name of the doctor or his marriage plans.
"I have someone special in my life now. She is a doctor. She is very understanding, she never disturbs me when I'm shooting or out with my friends. She will not check my phone. She says ‘chill whenever you want' and understands that everyone needs their own place, which is what I like the most," said Nikhil.
