Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Super Star Mahesh Babu have locked horns for the upcoming Sankranthi 2020. Both their movies Ala Vaikunthapuramulo and Sarileru Neekevvaru are releasing on January 12th, 2020, according to the announcement made by the production houses. With both the movies announcing their release dates on the same day, trade has expected concerns as it will have a huge dent in collections for both the movies. Many have tried to sort out the release date problem between the two but in vain. Also at the same time, many other movies have announced their release dates which triggered more confusion.
Initially, Venky Mama has also looked for Sankranthi release. Apart from these three, Rajinikanth’s Darbaar and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s Entha Manchivadavura have also announced their films release for Sankranthi. But now, it seems everything is sorted out. Venky Mama has opted out of the Sankranthi race and is looking for December 13th release. With Venky Mama going out of competition there is some breathing space for other Sankranthi releases.
Rajinikanth’s Darbaar has moved to January 9th instead of the initial release of January 9th. With this, Sarileru Neekevvaru has also advanced its release date by a day. Now, Sarileru Neekevvaru will release on January 11th for the greater good. Ala Vaikunthapuramulo will release on January 12th as announced earlier. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram will release his flick three days later on January 15th. More or less, this is the sorted out release dates for Sankranthi. It is almost confirmed if not for last-minute changes. In every sense, these release dates will do all good for others. Darbaar will be benefited from having early release and maintaining 2 days gap. Sarileru Neekevvaru by averting a clash with Ala Vaikunthapuramulo has done well to both the movies. Distributors can now feel relaxed. While Nandamuri Kalyan Ram coming three days later will have less release tension.
