Venkatesh and Suresh Babu are in the hunt of talented directors for their upcoming project, Asuran remake. It is known the news that Suresh Babu is getting ready to remake some successful Hindi and Tamil films and currently he in the search of a talented director for his next upcoming production venture, the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster movie Asuran remake in which Venkatesh Daggubati will play the lead role. Initially, Suresh Babu and Venkatesh wanted to rope Tharun Bhascker of Pelli Choppulu fame but he rejected the offer. Vetrimaaran, who has helmed the original version of Asuran starring Dhanush and Manu Warrier, is also not showing interact to helm the remake for Venkatesh Daggubati. Now according to the latest update, Suresh Babu and Venkatesh organized the special screening of Asuran for the young directors in the Telugu Film Industry.
Suresh Babu wanted to find the willingness of the young director to take up the film Asuran remake after watching it. All young directors and filmmakers were invited for the screening. By the end of the screening, Suresh Babu and Venkatesh have to take the opinions of the directors, who are ready to take up the job of remaking Asuran in Telugu. It is heard that few young directors are not confident so they rejected the idea to helm it. Few of them are yet to share their opinion after the special screening.
The sources say that based on their feedback, Suresh Babu will decide the director for Venkatesh starrer Asuran remake. Few are saying that Asuran remake will not be suitable for the image of Venkatesh.
Asuran is based on popular Tamil novel Vekkai, which is helmed by Vetrimaaran, the film is the blood-soaked revenge story of a father, a farmer who avenges the ruthless murder of his son. Dhanush played dual roles in this film, which is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu.
