Baahubali fame Anushka Shetty and National award winning Keerthy Suresh are the two top actresses of South Indian film Industry. The streaming giant Amazon Prime video’ announcement of bagging the rights of seven Indian movies including Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B’ ‘Gulabo Sitabo’ has created a sensation of sorts.
Now according to the latest buzz, Bollywood, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada producers had taken a bold step, the Telugu industry is also gearing up for closing the deals. If everything will go accordingly, Anushka Shetty starrer ‘Nishabdham’ might become the first such Telugu biggie to stream on OTT platforms. The reports are coming that the producers of ‘Nishabdham’ have been holding discussions with streaming giants.
Buzz has it that Anushka Shetty was against this idea as the decision may trouble the theatrical business of her upcoming movies. However, Tamil movies Penguin and Ponmagal Vandhal announcing their digital release dates has put Anushka Shetty in a spot. Penguin and Ponmagal Vandhal are the women centric movies. In Penguin, Keerthy Suresh is playing the female lead, and she has added a pressure on Anushka Shetty’ film.
Anushka Shetty starrer films have great potential in terms of theatrical business. However, Nishabdham is likely to be released on an OTT platform. If the buzz is true, the news regarding Nishabdham’ digital release will be made official shortly.
