Super Star Rajinikanth has making it a habit of releasing his movies for Sankranthi. His movies Petta and Darbaar got released for Sankranthi 2019 and 2020 respectively. Everyone thought that his current movie Annaatthe in the direction of Siva will release for auspicious occasion of Diwali.
However with lock down getting imposed and no shootings permitted, there will be postponement for sure.
There is buzz few days back that Annaatthe will be postponed to Sankranthi 2021 making it three in a row for Rajinikanth. However date hasn’t been announced then. Now according to the latest update, Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe is looking for January 14th, 2021 release.
Keerthy Suresh, Khushboo, Meena are playing female leads in the movie. If Rajinikanth’s movie gets released for Sankranthi in Tamil it will be very tough for him to get simultaneous release in Telugu as there will be huge competition for release slots. More clarity regarding release dates will come once lock down gets lifted.
