If ongoing buzz in media and film industry are to be believed, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone who is popular for delivering blockbuster movies, is going to play the female lead in upcoming Hindi film, which is a remake of Telugu blockbuster Arundhati, in which Anushka Shetty played the lead role.
Anushka Shetty starrer Arundhathi, directed by Kodi Ramakrishna was appreciated by both critics and the movie lovers. In this film, Anushka Shetty was seen fighting for women’s rights against a man who sees a woman as nothing more than a commodity. Now it is being heard that the Hindi rights of Arundhati has been bought by Mega producer Allu Aravind and he is going to remake it with Madhu Mantenna of Phantom Films and Brat Films. The reports are coming that Deepika Padukone will step in the shoes of Anushka Shetty’ role in Allu Aravind’ production venture.
Arundhati featured Sonu Sood in the role of the main villain, therefore, the Hindi remake of the film is also expected to star a male lead. Meanwhile Deepika Padukone is essaying the role of cricketer Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev in 83. She has also been roped in Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’ film.
