After the demise of Bollywood actor Sushanth Singh Rajput, nepotism has become never-ending debate in film industry. The Filmmaker R Balki who is popular for making movies – ‘Pad Man’, ‘Paa’, ‘Ki & Ka’ and ‘Cheeni Kum’, spoke about nepotism in Hindi film Industry but he was quick to point out that it’s ultimately talent that matters at the end of the day.
Padman director R Balki opens up about nepotism and favourtism in the industry and calls it a foolish argument.
R Balki explains how nepotism is inevitably present in every industry and different strata of human society. He called it the ongoing row foolish in a free country like India, concluded it by saying that there are two sides of nepotism.
Balki talked about the unfair advantages of star kids, he pointed out how it could affect talented actors. According to the film maker, no matter how much the audience might be interested in seeing star kids on the silver screen, it eventually gets difficult for every actor to survive in the film industry without having talent.
R Balki says that he will be once ready to talk about it when he finds better actors than Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in Bollywood.
On the work front, R Balki’ next project starring Amitabh Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut.
