We have already reported that Samyuktha Hegde, who is one of the popular actresses of South Indian film Industry, was abused and assaulted for wearing a sports bra while working out in a Bengaluru park. The actress herself confirmed it by sharing a video on microblogging page and she has alleged that entrepreneur, influencer and activist Kavitha Reddy “tried to hit” her.
Samyuktha Hegde accused Reddy of saying, “As*hol*s, if you wear such clothes the next time and something happens to you, don’t come crying to anyone. This is what she told us.” She even condemned the girls for “stripping in the public” and doing “cabaret dancing.” Samyuktha Hegde’ hula hoop practice in the park, has turned out to be a nightmare which the actress never imagined.
Now according to the latest update, Samyuktha Hegde went to the nearby HSR Layout police station to file a complaint, but she did not receive any acknowledgement and had to return empty handed. On Saturday, Nikhil’ ‘Kiraak Party’ actress consulted her legal team and has filed an FIR. “I do not let small things go. This is something big. I am going to fight this till the end, irrespective of what it takes to get justice.”
On the other side, Kavitha Reddy said, “It was Samyuktha Hegde who said she would remove her shirt once police arrived and she did that. What was she trying to prove?”.
Just for public record, Ms. Kavitha Reddy hasn’t taken down any of her posts about the events as quoted in her apology
