The Indian-American music producer, playback singer, and songwriter Sid Sriram is one of the popular name in Telugu film Industry. Sid Sriram gained popularity in India with the song Adiye crooned for the soundtrack of Kadal, which was composed by Oscar award winning music composer AR Rahman. The sources close to Sid Sriram revealed that the playback singer used to charge about 4 lakh per song. Now he is charging about 4.5 lakh plus GST per song. Sid Sriram records only one song a week. He is known for signing the song which he likes.
An alumnus of Berklee College of Music, Sid Sriram started his career by releasing original songs for about eight years. But it was AR Rahman’ “Adiye”, for Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Kadal in 2013, which brought him limelight. And he became a household name after “Thalli Pogathey” took the India’ music scene by storm.
Sid Sriram’ popular songs are Yennai Maatrum Kadhale, Thalli Pogathey, Maruvaarthai, Kurumba, Kannaana Kanney, Thaarame Thaarame, Inkem Inkem, Parayuvaan, Samajavaragamana etc.
Sid Sriram has also worked in some Malayalam songs like Uyire from Gauthamante Radham. He has even released a Single Album Po Po Yen which was composed by AH Kaashif. It was released on the occasion of Valentines Day 2017.
